To outrank your competitors, you must first understand how they got there. All URLs should be SEO friendly- Products and product pages having anonymous ids in their URLs rather than the product names get uploaded in big masses. This can affect the sales of e-commerce sites and could also pose difficulty for search engines to recognize products. Using real words rather than a page id or product code is considered more SEO-friendly.

Plan your site architecture- A site architecture forms the structure of your site and help users navigate your site. It should also be SEO-friendly. Segment your products into appropriate categories so that they are quick to find. This will also make it easy for Google to crawl your site and find your important products. However, avoid over categorization or adding unnecessary subcategories so as to not confuse your users.

Loading speed should be high- Eliminate all unnecessary elements from your site that might be slowing it down since slow sites damage user experience and are extremely bad for SEO. Site load speed is considered as a ranking factor. Run speed tests frequently and solve any underlying speed issues. Do not copy manufacturer descriptions since Google will see this as duplicated content and might put penalties on you. Your must showcase your products in the best possible light. Get rid of duplicate content on your site- To maximize your on-page SEO strategy, get rid of every piece of duplicate content on your site. Therefore, it is important to identify all duplicate content on your site with the help of crawl tests. This will help you improve your organic search results considerably.
