Our Festive Afternoon Teas Give You The Ideal Excuse To Pop Into Manor Of Groves This Christmas

You don’t need to spend much time in or near our Georgian property and its sumptuous grounds to realise that Manor of Groves is an exceedingly special place to be. You may have attended a wedding hertfordshire here and caught sight of our jaw-dropping suites, stayed in one of our 80 spacious and well-equipped bedrooms, or even taken advantage of a beauty treatment at our Health Club.

Well, if you’re seeking the perfect excuse to acquaint or reacquaint yourself with our charmingly restored manor house, we’re giving you plenty of them this Christmas – not least the return of our always-popular Festive Afternoon Tea, which you can enjoy on any afternoon throughout December.

Getting into the Yuletide Spirit... The English Way

Afternoon tea is one of England’s proudest traditions, having emerged among the wealthy social classes in the 1840s, not long after the London lawyer who once lived at Manor of Groves, Thomas Nathaniel Williams (1781-1841), had our property remodelled. That effortless Georgian elegance remains very much apparent at the present-day Manor of Groves.

But it’s not just the architecture that is faithfully ‘of its era’, with our Festive Afternoon Teas also paying utter respect to our delightfully historic hotel.

Join us between 12:30pm and 5pm from Monday to Sunday throughout December, and we’ll be pleased to welcome you with our seasonal twist on our usual traditional afternoon tea. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy dainty finger sandwiches, scones served with rich clotted cream and festive sweet treats in the company of friends, perhaps in-between Christmas shopping trips elsewhere in Hertfordshire, or whatever else you have planned during this very special time of year.

What’s more, you can revel in a Festive Afternoon Tea with us for an exceedingly reasonable £19.50 per person. Alternatively, why not come along at 1:30pm on Sunday 16th December to also enjoy your afternoon tea with a relaxing soundtrack provided by the Military Wives Choir? This event is priced at £22.95 per adult and £10.50 per child.

There’s So Much More To Discover In Our Christmas Brochure

Our Festive Afternoon Tea is far from our only splendid Christmas event lined up this month. You can find out more about all of them simply by downloading our complete festive-season brochure, with the likes of festive lunches, our Christmas Day Lunch, Boxing Day Lunch and New Year’s Eve Black Tie Ball all available for booking. Just be sure to make your reservation quickly, before it’s too late!
