by Galgo4d Papers Digital Fine Paper Company in India

The consumption of paper has tremendously increased. There are more paper products more than ever before, from newspapers, to paper bags to pizza boxes to tissue papers and napkins to writing pads and many more. Paper is very much part of our daily lives. And it is not as simple as it looks! Papermaking is an art. A lot of time and energy is involved. Moreover, paper is a tree product. The raw wood of the tree first has to be made into pulp. The main ingredients of paper are pulp, filler, chemicals and water. Different types of paper are made from different types of wood pulp, such as Uncoated Woodfree Paper is made from chemical pulp. The chemical pulp undergoes kraft process whereby the wood chips are cooked in an alkaline solution for hours. The chemicals dissolve the lignin in the wood. Woodfree paper, also known as fine paper, is not made from mechanical pulp. Uncoated woodfree paper or woodfree uncoated paper is also called Uncoated Fine Papers. Galgo Fine Paper specializes in fine paper. The company offers the best quality uncoated woodfree paper. Galgo Fine Paper guarantees strength, look and feel. The good thing about paper is that it can be used again. This is possible through recycling. Here is a step by step process of how typical paper is made:

Step1 - Trees: Trees are used for making paper. It has been become a trend for papermaking organizations to have their own forests for the specific purpose of making paper. Some companies sign contracts with private landowners for the supply trees. In the initial years of civilization, the Arabs used vegetable fibres, linen, rags and flax as raw material for making paper.

Step 2 - Chipping: Machines are used to debark the trees. The wood is cut into pieces. The wood chips are put into a digester (huge cylinder) where it is mixed with water and chemicals. This is cooked in pressure for maximum eight hours.

Step 3 - Pulp: The end product of step 2 is called pulp. This goes into a high speed machine. Water is removed.

Step 4 – Paper: After water has been removed, a thin layer of raw paper is left behind. The raw paper undergoes a series of drying. Moisture is removed. The paper goes through rollers for smoothness.

Overall, papermaking is an ancient craft. The art of making paper started in Egypt thousands of years ago. The ancient Egyptians used a marsh grass Cyperous Papyrus (this is where ‘paper’ is derived from) which grew in river Nile’s marsh lands. They used to cut strips of this grass, softened it in muddy water, it was then layered to form a mat, this was then pounded into a thin sheet and dried in the sun. Once dry, it could be used to write on! Now, people don’t have to use grass as there are manufactured papers. Galgo Fine Paper has made writing easy and everyone has access to paper.
