No one really wants what you are selling
I am going to be brutally honest here and yes some of you are going to be offended because you will not take the time to read the entire post. You will stop as soon as you read the truth that I am about to reveal, no one wants your product, your biz-op or anything else you are trying to sell to them. That’s right they don’t want it. Be honest with yourself, no matter what you are promoting, were you falling all over yourself to find that specific product or opportunity? Of course not! You were looking for something that could give you what you want, and that is the key.
This is something that scammers figured out a long time ago. They understand that no one wants the actual thing that they are selling, people want what it can do for them. This is why you see scammers constantly posting hype pages to promote their scams and making outrageous promises. They know that no one wants to be a part of “scam you now dot com”. But people do want that huge villa, people do want the Ferarri, people do want the sexy girl or the hard-bodied guy laying on the beach sipping a pina colada. The scammer does not sell the scam, the scammer sells what the scam promises to bring to the victim.
How does this apply to you? Well what is your product? What does it do? And most importantly, what can it do for a prospect? That is what your prospects really want to know, because they want to know what is in it for them. They couldn’t care less about what is in it for you. If you are focusing on you in your advertising, you might want to try focusing on your prospect. Believe me, they are not out hunting for you or your product, they are hunting for what that product or opportunity can do for them.

Cheryl awesome post if you learn how to offer a solution to your prospects problems & frustrations then you will get what you want on the back end! It's about them not & the benefits of your products or services

Glad you liked the article. It is easy to forget that prospects want to know what they are getting and what it can do for them.

Very good point, Cheryl. The product or service is more important than the compensation plan and is the key as to whether the program is an illegal pyramid scheme or a legal MLM. Thanks for sharing.

True but even with a legitimate product, the same thing applies, scammers just know and use the fact that it is the outcome of using your product joining your opportunity that is important to the prospect, not the product or opportunity itself.

Very informating article, we have to build trust on our friends, prospect to enable them buy our product. Why promote affilate program you are not sure they can pay? Why not wait to make payout before promoting it? I joined vodahost because a friend showed me check he got from them, when promote scam products you are a scammer.
