He got his first recognition during his solo exhibition at the Lalit Kala Academy in Delhi in the year 2003, after this there was no stopping to his success. After that he showcased his work in various different exhibitions as well as Solo shows at Indian Habitat Centre, Indira Gandhi Airport domestic by the year 2005.

2008 launched Neeraj Gupta as a sculpture artist outside of Delhi with his show in Jahangir Art Gallary in Mumbai. But his most memorable show was in the year 2011 where he showcased 100 years of Delhi in the Hungarian culture centre.

He was first awarded with the Sahitya Kala Parishad Award during 28th Annual artwork Exhibition, by the govt.. Of N.C.T. Delhi in 2004. His first award gave his the encouragement that he needed to show his art to the world and make a name for himself in other countries as well.
