Most of the premier B-schools of the world require a high GMAT score for their MBA programs. The primary reason these schools value a high score in the GMAT exam as a pre-requisite for the MBA program is that The GMAT exam is believed to measure the skills one needs to possess to excel in the rigorous MBA program. There is no doubt that the GMAT exam is highly preferred by business schools worldwide, however, if due to time constraints or any other reason, one is not up for this exam, there is nothing to be disappointed. Many prestigious universities world over offer MBA programs without the requirement of a GMAT score. They don’t require the candidate to take the GMAT exam for admission.
