National Defense Academy Details

Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination. Every year this exam is
conducted at various centers. A large number of candidates appear in this exam
and secure their career with Indian Defense Services. Union Public Service
Commission organizes National Defense Academy(NDA) exam2017 twice in a year in the month
of April and September for offering admission to all the eligible candidates in
defense sector which are Army, Navy and Air force. In month of April 1st
Exam is conducted and in the month of September 2nd Exam is
conducted.
Eligibility
Criteria-
Candidates should be Indian Nationals, a subject of
Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st
January, 1962 with the intention of settling in India permanently
If a candidate wants to apply for Exam-1, the
candidate should be born in between 2nd July, 1998 to 1st
July, 2001
If a candidate wants to apply for Exam-2, the
candidate should be born in between 2nd January, 1999 to 1st
July, 2002
For Army Wing of National Defense Academy, the
candidate must have passed 12th class from a recognized education
board
For Air Force and Naval Wing, the candidate should
have cleared 12th class with Physics and Mathematics from a well-recognized
board.

Application
Form-
The application forms are made available from 18th
January, 2017. The last date to submit the form is 10th February,
2017. The following steps have to followed for applying the application form
which are as-
Candidates have to visit the official website of the
UPSC which is www.upsc.gov.in
Get the registration link and register yourself
Fill all the required details
Submit the form
Make the payment of the fee which can be done both
online as well offline
Print the confirmation page
Upload all the documents required
Application Fee-
For general and OBC candidates the fee is Rs.100
Candidates of other categories are not required to
pay any fee as they are exempted to pay the fee
For online payment candidates can make use of debit
card, credit card or net banking
For offline payment candidates can make payment with
Cash in any of the State Bank of India
Important
points for the candidates-
No changes can be made once after the submission
Candidates can apply through online mode only
Only male candidates can apply
Students appearing in class 12th can
apply for the exam
SC candidates are exempted from application fee
Candidates can make the payment of the fee through
VISA card as well
