My Personal Trainer Wants To Train Outside Along The Hudson Riverby Neighborhood Trainers Finding a trainer is a personal choice
Have you ever wanted to see the beauty of nature while you get the best workout of your life? It’s something that a lot of people want, but almost never get to experience. If you use the gym as your main workout arena, you could be missing out on some of the natural beauty and challenges that nature offers. When my personal trainer told me about the benefits of training outdoors, I didn’t believe them. I had always believed that the most comfortable place to exercise was in a gym or in front of the TV at home.
My Chelsea personal trainer taught me an important lesson about personal training – the world is your playground. You are not limited to sitting at home on an exercise bike or in the gym on a treadmill. The road is paved so you can run on it – literally, just go for it. My personal trainer took me to some of the most gorgeous places around the city and changed the way I look at exercise forever.
Your workout is naturally harder when you engage in Chelsea personal training. Being outdoors means you are being exposed to an environment with many bumps and constant changes. Being consistent means you have to adapt, adding an extra challenge to your workout. The body has to work a lot harder to climb a mountain than it would to climb steps on a stair machine. Even just slight inclines can add an entirely new feeling to the session.
You don’t have to pay. Sure, a personal trainer is not free, but you can be completely free of membership fees and extra charges. Since the world becomes your gym, you don’t need fancy equipment to tone and lighten your body – nature will help you with that at no cost.
You get an extra dose of sunshine. It has been scientifically proven that vitamin D, attained several ways including by sunlight, improves mood and overall performance. This means you may be more likely to hit your goals if you are getting a healthy amount of vitamin D each day. By working out outside, you’re already getting ahead and moving towards achieving your dreams.
The day I ran beside the Hudson River changed the way I see fitness and outdoor exercise, and it may do the same for you. Get outside and explore the world, getting fitter as you go along and enjoying the wind in your hair and the sun on your face.
