Must-See Places In Italy

by Alice Porter Business Writer Alice

Italy is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, famous everywhere for its food, great art and beautiful seasides. Picking the absolute best places there isn't definitely easy but, with the right knowledge and a detailed guide, we will be able to properly picture a list of the absolute "must-see" there. Let's go on with the list.

Number One: Rome

The eternal city has always been a great destination for either a long holiday or for a romantic escape from your day to day life. With architectonic beauties like the Colosseum and the Pantheon, there's no need to introduce you to the city which currently amounts for 12% (yes, 12%) of the entire world's architectonic art patrimony. In order to save yourself some money when staying there, we recommend booking a hotel or an apartment slightly outside of the city centre. Areas like Cornelia, for example, are perfectly fine and extremely well connected to the rest of the city.

Number Two: Venice

Venice is that city which you must visit at least once in your lifetime. The romance of the gondolas, combined with the uniqueness of its canals is extremely beautiful and must be witnessed at least once by everyone. The only downside would be the fact that Venice is extremely expensive, especially in the city centre. I wish there were some restaurant deals available there or online because dining out in there is painful!

Number Three: Milan

Milan is the city which has been made famous because of the dualism of historic architecture and new business-related buildings. With examples like Piazza Affari, which faces the Duomo, it's quite easy to understand why this statement is extremely true. Milan is best to be visited when big events are going, like the fashion week or the design week. Definitely, a must-visit for everyone who's considering Italy for his/her next holiday.

Number Four: Sicily As a Whole

Sicily is extremely beautiful, especially if you are visiting during the summer, given the beautiful seaside and the majestic places down there. The best part? It's extremely cheap. You could find a 4 stars hotel for 50 euros or less per night, to reference. Definitely worth considering instead of that extremely expensive Carribean location you've been looking after since January.

Sicilian food is also extremely good, with dishes like arancini and arrosticini, you will be sorted easily down there. Go and visit Sicily.
