The city Bologna is
a historical place which has around 400,000 inhabitants. This city is famous for old universities,
lively student population, brick terracotta-roofed porticos and architecture,
nightlife and theatre. Also the city is known for its cuisine. There are many hotels
and restaurants which serve la
cucina Bolognese and whoever visits this place are bound to taste the local
cuisine which is so mouth watering. It
is also viewed as a well administered and progressive city. It is one of the largest preserved historic regions
among all the cities. The town centre is characterized by attractive covered
walkways which is known as porticos and is considered as one of the Europe’s
best preserved.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit Bologna is from
March to October when it is warm and is best for outdoor dining and drinking.
Or else, you could sit in squares like Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Santo
Stefano. However, in July and August it is particularly very hot. Many of the restaurants
and shops are closed for summer vacation. It would be very cold in winter, but this
place is very beautiful during Christmas time. January and February features
blue cloudless skies and it would be the coldest. You would require hat,
gloves, scarf and coat.

Archaeological Museum: This building houses a collection of antiquities such as Egyptian
civilization, Villanova Iron Age culture, funerary art, Etruscan Velzna’s
artifacts, ancient vases from Roman times.

Tintoretto.
