Moose are People too!

by faii acy GPT Site Owner/Operator
This is a story I have been following and promoting for well over two years and it looks like it is coming to a very sad end.

Just over 50 miles south of me in Northeast Vermont lives Pete the Moose. Rescued from dogs when a calf he has been the subject of controversy his entire life. The battle between the people who want him to live out his life in peace and safety and those who want nothing more than to see his head on their wall came to a head this week.

Without repeating two years of updates, here is where we stand today. All native cervidae within the former elk hunting preserve are being massacred. Pete himself, despite official promises from the Governor of Vermont to spare him, has not been seen for two weeks and is very likely dead himself.

Pete's supporters are flooding Vermont Governor Shumlin's FaceBook page with demands for answers. Demand which are being ignored. But we cannot be ignored forever, and you can help.

I ask for nothing but for you to go to Shumlin's page and post these four words:

"Show Me The Moose!"
