With mobile internet usage set to surpass desktop PC internet access by 2013 it is essential that all businesses offer a mobile version of their website. Your current website is likely to perform badly on mobile devices as it has not been optimised for the various screen sizes and browsers. If you have used a mobile phone to browse the internet you will already be aware of this. When visiting the majority of websites you are unable to read or navigate them without excessive scrolling and zooming in. Worse still, some websites don’t show at all! It is very common for businesses to have websites built in "flash" but there is one major problem with this. The current best selling smartphone, the iPhone, can’t read websites built in flash. By not having a mobile version of your website you are losing potential customers and profits for your business.

A quick response code or  "QR Code can be scanned by your mobile phone, when this happens, information is delivered to the phone. This information could be sending the user to a website, a phone number, a text message or full contact details.

QR codes can be used in many ways, you are only limited by your imagination. For the property market, one of the major uses would be to display the QR code on the FOR SALE board of a property. As a property professional you will be well aware that home buyers often drive around their desired area looking for properties for sale. Now, when they see your board they can take out their mobile, scan your QR code and then view the property details and images. They can then phone or email you to arrange a viewing. Other places you could use QR codes are in your window displays, print advertising, property listing sheets and even on your business cards.
