Mistakes Must Be Made In Order To Make Money Online via Affiliate Programs

I recall being 19 years of age and in the United States Army. I was stationed in Butzbach Germany in the 122nd Main Support Battalion of the 3rd Armored Division.

I will never forget a young sergeant, Holland. I admired him because he was different from the typical soldier. He had the same routine every day. After work he would change into the same sweat pants and run around the track just outside the barracks. Then he would return to the barracks...go upstairs and take a shower. Lastly, he would go downstairs and spend the remainder of his day on the phone at the CQ (Charge of Quarters) desk.

One day I asked him why he was on the phone for hours every day. He responded “Trading Stocks, do you want me to show you how”? Being totally ignorant of the stock market, I told him no thank you. I thought it was some sort of scam.

Later I discovered Sgt. Holland had more than $80,000 in the Stock market. Nevertheless, I was nearly 40 years old before I found out how ignorant I was at age 19.

A similar scenario occurred when I got married and began marketing online. I spent thousands of dollars purchasing products on JV Zoo, Warrior Forum and Clickbank. A lot of my expenditures also came from investing in “Big Ticket” programs by Mike Dillard and other big names.

However, there was a significant difference in the series of events when I was 19 compared to 40. At age 19 I never invested any money into the stock market. Consequently, I never learned anything about the stock market while I was in the Army.

Ultimately, I did invest in online marketing and eventually learned how to make money online.

The point I am trying to make is...the mistakes must be made in order to learn what works and what does not work. You will never truly believe anything until you’ve experienced it yourself. Unfortunately, that’s how the mind works. I did not learn anything until I invested the time and money.
