Microsoft unveils the latest version 16.9 of Office 2016
by Lena Smith Technical EngineerRight after the release of Office Setup 2016 version 15.41, Microsoft has launched its new version, 16.9 with some of the exciting features. The productivity suite has come up with real-time collaborative editing. After updating your existing Office suite, you will need to save your Word documents and PowerPoint presentations to SharePoint Online or OneDrive. After saving, you will be able to send invitations to the collaborators. You will also require an Office 365 subscription to make a new workbook on the following:
- OneDrive
- OneDrive for Business
- SharePoint Online Library
Apart from this, the new version of the Microsoft Office will also have AutoSave capabilities to its most used applications, i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This feature will allow the Office 365 subscribers to use this for all the files stored on OneDrive, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online Library. These three applications also help in finding out the documents available in the websites you have frequently used along with the groups in the Open menu.
On the other hand, Office 16.9 will enable the Microsoft Excel create and add new charts like sunburst, funnel and histogram in a Pivot Table. This will also help in improving support for filters in the Pivot Table. With this new update, the users will be able to trim the content from the start or the end of an audio or video clip, which is being embedded in the Microsoft PowerPoint.
The new version has also added support for using your mouse as a laser pointer to enhance the focus on the particular text, image or anything other in the presentation. It has also made a noticeable change in the Outlook by enabling the users use new gestures for achieving or deleting the emails from your email account.
