Miami Is One City Where Music Meets With Ocean And Great Place For Solo Female Travelers

by Banuelos Kelly Agency

As a single woman, the much-needed sanity break was essential for me once in a while to refresh my mind, body, and soul and throw back a shot of self-confidence. And at such times there can be no better place than Miami for me. I was very enthusiastic for a solo vacation, a place where I could finally escape from work, laundry, grocery shopping and the piles of dust looming in my apartment. For me, it's a rite of passage, a time to get back in touch with my mind and body, so I hopped a cheap flight to Fort Lauderdale, headed straight to Miami and started my solo vacation.

United Airlines

I've long been a fan of Miami, Florida, a city where I knew nobody. Everything about Miami really fascinates me, the Latin American vibes, beautiful beaches and art deco delights are just some of Miami's many charms. A trip to Miami typically conjures images of overflowing tour groups and gaggles of spring breakers, but I think you don't really need a fleet of friends to enjoy South Florida. Miami's blazing nightlife, tropical gardens, lively arts scene and sizzling cuisine, there is a burst of energy from this eclectic city. I think even if there was no beach, Miami would still have an undeniable allure. As darkness falls upon the city and the luminous colors of a South Florida sunset fill the sky, that's when the best part of the day begins for Miami's party people. By moonlight, all the magic of Miami unfolds, in its swanky candlelit lounges, rooftop bars with sweeping views over Biscayne Bay, salsa-filled dance halls and the glittering city skyline. While there's plenty of bling on display, this vibrant city has something for all, I have always enjoyed the backyard bars full of indie rockers to hidden dens of debauchery concealed behind neon-lit taco stands.

Some of the most beautiful places in Miami that's definitely worth visiting

There's was so much on my plate, within my 2 weeks stay in here, never for a second did I ever feel lonely and tired. I am so much in love with this city and would definitely love visiting this city again. If you want to witness this freedom, if you want to really strip off layers of activities you partake in and discover the things you're truly passionate about, then I strongly urge you to hit the road alone today. Below I have made a list of some of the most spectacular places in Miami that will definitely blow your mind:

Sun Worshipping on North Beach

North Beach, a neighborhood of the city of Miami Beach, Florida, is the northernmost section of the city. I find it a little quieter and older than its Southern counterpart, but you can still find a number of things to keep you on the go. Located about 4.5 miles north of 71st St on Collins Ave, for me, it's more of a nicer spot for sand in the area. Lovingly nicknamed NoBe, most of the beach here is clothed and there's even a dog park while speedos are optional at this 40-acre beach park hidden behind vegetation from the sight of condos, highways and prying passers-by.

Lagniappe - The top choice bar in Wynwood and the Design District

With great live music, an easygoing crowd, the vibe was just so right, spending a night here most assuredly brought a good time for me. My journey would never be complete without a touch of New Orleans in Miami, here I visited Lagniappe, an old-fashioned front-room bar, loaded with art, faded vintage furnishings and weathered walls. There's a sprawling back garden with palm trees and fairy lights, the food and drink set-up adds to the good cheer, I couldn't help myself to the wine bottles and the craft beer in the fridge while enjoying some good music.

Gallery Hopping in Wynwood and Exploring Art Deco Beauties at South Beach

I was awestruck while exploring Art Deco Beauties at South Beach. The Wynwood Art Walk Block Party is incredibly popular and if you want to be a part of Miami's nightlife where a big party of people wanders around murals and galleries with food trucks, ever-flowing drinks with live music and special markets, then don't miss this. I think South Beach (SoBe) has one of the busiest streets, South Beach has its glamour, everything from the sparkling beach, beautiful art-deco architecture, top-end boutiques, and buzzing bars and restaurants. I took a day off just to get off some Sobe air, hitting down the road for some down-to-earth bars, museums and a distinctive veneer of Art Deco architecture. The shore gathers a wide mix of humanity, including suntanned locals and plenty of tourists, the beach itself encompasses a lovely stretch of golden sands, dotted with colorful deco-style lifeguard stations.

The Art Deco Historic District-Area in South Beach is pure exuberance: an architecture of bold lines, whimsical tropical motifs and a color palette that evokes all the beauty of the Miami landscape. For a deeper insight into the architecture, I took a guided walking tour of the area, only to discover that each building, each design is different, and strolling among these restored beauties from a bygone era is utterly enthralling. The classic art-deco structures are positioned so beautifully between 11th and 14th Sts - each bursting with individuality, while the Congress Hotel shows perfect symmetry in its three-story facade.

Little Havana

Little Havana located at Calle Ocho, SW 8th St, is the heart of the neighborhood and in many ways, I discovered that this is every immigrant enclave in the USA booming with restaurants, mom-and-pop convenience shops, and phonecard kiosks. With the crack of dominoes, the scent of wafting cigars and salsa spilling out of colorful storefronts, I think the Cubans of Little Havana is still an atmospheric area to explore for an afternoon.
