Men’s Streetwear Style 2018

Streetwear is only becoming a bigger trend as we begin 2018, comfortable, branded and for the fashion-conscious, mens streetwear clothing is a wanted look. A key benefit of streetwear is that the guidelines for it are very loose and anyone can tailor it to what suits them.

Hoodies

Regular, fitted or oversized are all acceptable looks for streetwear. Matching up your joggers to a hoody is a defined streetwear look that helps highlight caps and trainers. If you don’t intend on matching up your hoody to joggers then darker joggers or jeans are the best option. Hoodies usually have oversized branding or can be plain if you plan on layering it with another jacket. Hoodies are the easiest part of the look and you can just change your bottoms and trainers to suit.

Joggers

Fitted joggers are usually the strongest choice to go with, going for a tapered pair helps add definition to trainers and tops. Branded joggers give the style a premium look and the quality keeps its shape better after long-term use. Colours are a personal preference but usually darker is easier to link up with. Camo and block prints have recently been a trend with streetwear, matching them with a plain hoody works well and swaps the definition with the joggers rather than the hoody.

Caps

The easiest part of the style, easier match it up or pick an alternative colour to highlight it. American sports teams are a big trend currently, large iconic insignias on caps for an alternative look, American sports team usually have the best badges so that’s another plus point.

Beanies

If you’re not a fan of caps, beanies are another good choice. Beanies offer a more relaxed look if you’re not one to wear bold garments. Beanies offer several style choices too, going for something simpler and thinner is more suited to the streetwear style, a think knitted isn’t the best call when wearing fitted clothing.

Trainers

Trainer tastes vary for everyone and with streetwear most styles collaborate well. If you’re struggling with all the choices though, sock style trainers are a perfect choice, they offer premium comfort with a minimalist style, which is defined with a cuffed jogger. Brand such as Adidas and Nike offer a massive range in the style, but any Nike Air Max or Asics Leisure trainers work well with streetwear.

T-shirts

With streetwear, T-shirts don’t tend to be a defining part of the look. Regular or fitted styles are best and branding or plain both work. Working with the opposites works best to define the main areas of the style, wearing a plain T-shirt will give jogger of a zipped hoody a prolific look.
