Melanoma - The deadly skin cancer and how it affected my life

by Mark D. SEO, Data Recovery & IT Consultant
My ex-wife, best friend, soul mate and loving mother to my three children at just the age of 29 had a Melanoma removed from her back 3 years ago. Then just a few weeks ago, shortly after her 32 birthday, she was told the cancer is terminal.

Unfortunately a year and a half ago, we seperated. We still deeply care for each other, remained the best of friends and always had the same vision for our children.
For the past 3 months, ive been the primary carer for our children and ive loved every minute of it and believe ive succeeded in ways I could only dream of, I am still in fear of raising them without her there beside me and her not being around to give the kids that special mum one on one hug that every child needs..

Words cannot explain how angry, confused and upset I am after receiving the news, though I didnt create this article as a pitty me story, I just want to raise awareness to this deadly disease, in the hope that I can prevent any other family having to go through the same horrible nightmare my family is currently going through.

I have created a fundraiser for the Melanoma Institue of Australia and ask for you to please donate or share this page with your friends, family and loved ones!

WOW! Today I have been blessed and this site is one of those blessings. God bless those with Cancer or in remission as it is a horrible disease and impossible for one who has not had or has it to understand. This is one of the many things I am starting to like about APSENSE and I hope to be here for a long time.

Mark, I am so sorry to read about this. I'm a cancer survivor, but I didn't have 3 children to worry about, so I can only try to imagine what your ex-wife as well as you are going through. But I can tell just from this article that you are doing a great job as a dad, and I am sure your ex-wife knows that too, and that will give her so much peace and comfort. Hang in there.
