The abbreviation of MBA is Masters in business administration. mba education helps one to improve their managerial skills and potential. Acquiring a MBA makes one gain invaluable skills which makes him apt to move up the ladder of a successful career easily. A number of courses are present today in the field of education, but people prefer to take up this program as a post graduation course, because of number of reasons. Some of the reasons are the degree can be opted after completion of any under graduation course and this is a plus as with any degree, opting for MBA is feasible. A MBA candidate can be placed in large organizations or can start his own entrepreneurship.

Those who are interested in a managerial role can do their MBA. The course helps in improving decision- making, supervising, and motivating employees and other such capabilities. Those who complete their MBA from top mba programs are the most wanted in the field and earn a high remuneration. People who would like to enter the field of business can also opt for this program. Various MBA streams

There are different streams in MBA. Depending on the interest; accounts, HR, Finance, Retail, Business or any other stream can be chosen. The degree however mainly concentrates on business management, management techniques, leadership skills, and marketing aspects. It is also important to choose which program would best suit the student. MBA in India is generally for 2 years. Some colleges offer one year courses. This type of one year mba program gives a boost to the career of the student. This program is also known as the executive MBA program. But very few reputed universities alone offer this program.

If the student is a working professional on a full time basis, he can opt for distance mba programs. This program gives the flexibility to the student to attend classes virtually or do a self study and get clarifications during sessions. This program requires more commitment from the student perspective. He needs to complete his self study within the time period allotted and get his assignments submitted on time.

There is another option available for working professionals that is to do part time MBA. The students are allowed to attend classes during weekends. They are given assignments and have practical classes too. The only drawback is the schedule for the student becomes very hectic if he is a working professional as he might have to concentrate both on his work and studies at the same time. The difference between part time and full time MBA is that part time mba is a three year course while full time is a two year course.

Getting an admission in a good, reputed MBA college is not an easy task. It requires a lot of commitment and interest, to get a good grade in the entrance exams conducted by the college. The Top B-schools pass out a number of students who are said to be brilliant. They are absorbed by companies even during their internship period. Some companies even provide stipend to the students.
