Making the Most of Your Easter Holidays

by Olivia Elmore Financial Adviser

Easter is a time of praying and celebrating. The holidays bring joy and peace in our lives. While kids are busy painting Easter eggs, the grown-ups attend church and organise get-togethers.

Easter falls on a Sunday, but the festivities begin a week prior to it. The whole Easter week marks the events before the rising of Jesus from the dead: the entry of Jesus in the temples of Jerusalem, the betrayal of Judas, the last supper, the prosecution on the cross (the Good Friday), and finally the resurrection. The whole country exhibits a religious and pious aura.

And when everyone around you is immersed in celebrations and arrangements, it would hurt to not have any plans for the holidays. If you are holding back due to the shortage of funds, you can quickly take a loan without guarantor from an online lending website. Here is a list of activities that you can indulge in during Easter festivities.

1.       Organise an Easter egg hunt for your kids

Holidays are the best time for kids. Use these days to teach them about the significance of Easter, and make it more interesting by organising fun activities like painting eggs and baking Easter rabbit cookies. Give your kids some hard-boiled eggs and egg paints to see their creativity unravel. You can then use those eggs to create an egg-treasure hunt in your house or backyard. These exciting ventures will also help you bond with your loved ones.

2.       Plan a brunch with your closed ones

Easter holidays are for everyone. This is the best time to catch up with friends and family, who otherwise stay busy and occupied in their everyday lives. Invite them over for a brunch, and have a jolly get-together time. Share conversations have food, say your prayers, take lots of pictures and laugh through the day. Being around family and friends and sharing the warmth of love and care is what festivals and holidays are meant for.

3.       Attend Easter services at your church

The holy festival of Easter is a period of fasting, prayers and penance. Several services are held across churches on the Easter Sunday. You can attend and volunteer in different Easter services organised by your church. Read the Easter story from the bible. Educate your kids about the significance of this festival.

4.       Go on a hike

Not everyone is religious today. If you do not wish to attend church, or do something religious, you can always spend your holidays differently. Gather your non-religious friends and plan a hike. You can go somewhere adventurous or beautiful. Use these holidays to travel and explore. You can connect with your friends in a different way by travelling with them.
