No matter what you do to generate this income, the first order of business is to realize this is a PEOPLE business and without forging alliances with people that can help you, the odds against ever achieving success are overwhelming.
So that old advertising slogan from a famous telephone company is even more applicable in these situations, "Reach out and touch someone" and do it daily if possible. Think of something nice you can do for those with similar interests and do it often, it may surprise you where it leads after a few years.
Yes I mean a few years!
It takes time to establish and cultivate true relationships, but the impact it can have on your perceived image is truly amazing. A few years ago I did a recorded testimonial for an online program when that was not a mainstream practice yet. They added it to a splash page they had thousands of people promoting online and I can't begin to count the number of people I met after that who specifically mentioned that recording and instantly recognized me as an authority figure.
More recently I did a set of training videos that everyone on Fusioncash has had the opportunity to view with the same end result for me. I get people in their forum telling others to go LOOK for me, but you will NEVER achieve that kind of recognition by lurking in the shadows.

 Get-er-done kind of Gal!Warren.... first off your telling me that I have to do something everyday to be successful???? say it ain't so. And your also telling me that I have to COMMUNICATE with people? say that ain't so either... Please tell me that is not true. I was told to just sign-up and pay my money and I would be rich... within a week at the most. You mean it does not work like that?.... Gosh.... Extra $300 a Month?I agree that there are some horrible videos floating around and that some people have a long way to go before they can change that, but it's not a skill that can not be improved simply by practice and coaching by anyone who wants to bad enough. You make great videos, Warren. You have a warm fatherly persona that resonates with people. However there are a lot of marketers doing videos who shouldn't be doing them because of the negative impression given. Videos aren't for everybody but making some sort of contact with people is vital as your article points out.
