Major Components of A Laserjet Printer

by Sagar Chauhan Digital Marketing Analyst
A laserjet printer is a type of digital printing machine that uses laser beams to produce printed output. The precise correlated interaction of the imaging drum, fuser, and rollers is responsible for the systematic transfer of the image on paper. An electrical potential is applied to each phase of the printing process. Due to this, the high-quality of texts & graphics and a moderate quality of photographs are produced. The working mechanism of laserjet printers is similar to photocopiers as they both work on the similar technology. Due to the cost-effectiveness and amazing results, the laserjet printers are widely popular among the companies. However, many people are unaware of the components of a laser printer. Here’s a look at them and understand why a person should buy laserjet printers online in Saudi Arabia and its other parts.

·    Laser Gun
The laser gun is an essential component of a laserjet printer. From this gun, the beams of light are directed toward the mirrors. These mirrors make the beams of light bounce back on the photosensitive drum for the formation of the image/text.

·    Imaging Unit
Also known by the name of photoconductor unit, the imaging unit is an aluminum cylinder coated with a light-sensitive film. This film reacts to the beams of light that bounce back from the mirrors to form an image on the drum. Due to the repeated process, the beams of light react with the light-sensitive coating for attracting the charged toner to the drum.

·    Fuser Unit
Normally, the fuser unit comprises two rollers. The upper roller is heated and designed to melt the thin film of toner plastic, enabling the ink to be transferred to the paper as it passes between the rollers. The toner is coated with a non-stick silicon coating that can be easily cleaned. The roller on the lower side doesn’t require to be heated. Since it is made up of silicon as well, the paper can pass through it smoothly.

·    Toner Cartridges
The toner cartridge is the component that comprises different colors. It is the finely grounded plastic powder dyed in CMYK colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black). This powder turns into ink when heated.  Unlike other printers that use multiple color drums, laserjet printers use a single drum that comprises the different toners.

The laserjet printers are widely used in the companies due to their amazing performance and outstanding printing result. They do not require a high maintenance and are pocket-friendly. Therefore, people prefer purchasing the laserjet printers in Saudi Arabia & other sultanates of the country.
