Live gigs in London this August

August is a fun time to spend a holiday in London as there are plenty of events lined up for the month. From pop-up restaurants to live gigs, arts to cultural events, there is a lot to keep visitors busy on a trip to London, this summer.

Eastern Electrics

On the 4 & 5 August Eastern Electrics will put up a fantastic show at Morden Park London. They have been an integral part of the club community in the city since they started as a warehouse rave group around a decade ago. Eastern Electric is now a complete festival and is among the most anticipated annual events for electronic music lovers. They have moved on from being a single day event to a two-day show featuring major names in reggae, bass, D&B and garage genres of music.

The main event will have Jamie Jones (Paradise) and Hot Creations returning. Jamie will offer a fusion of the best in deep house and melodic techno. Dirtybird’s Claude VonStroke brings his own unique style of music with Patrick Topping making his debut at the festival. House music maestro Sonny Fodera will jam with Wax on Mare Street.

Saturday is an eclectic mix of garage, house, techno and other genres. Sunday’s schedule features grime, reggae, Bass, DnB and hip-hop played on more than 6 stages. Performers include Bad Company UK, Wookie, Spooky, David Rodigan, Grandmixxer, Matt Jam Lamont plus plenty more. Defected which have led the House genre of music for the past two decades will showcase their talents at Morden Park. The stage will transform into a club space and expect some of the top names from the house genre to attend.

South West Four

Back with a bang on Clapham Common, SW4 celebrates 15 years with some of the top names in the business. The oldest electronic festival it will feature chart-topping performers, the finest electronic music DJs and spectacular performances. Held on 25 & 26 August, it will feature Marshmello from across the pond as the main event. This will be the first live UK gig of his Melloville style of music by the masked DJ. Others scheduled to perform with him include Netsky, Slushii and Jauz.

Others expected to rock the stage include Nadia Rose making her debut at SW 4, local favorite Dizzee Rascal, Jonas Blue and Sigma among other famous names. One of the top music events in the city, the second day will see other electronic music maestros like Chase & Status. If you are into electronic music, a not-to-miss event!
