Soon after a student has finished his or her class twelve examinations, he or she sits for a competitive exam in the desired stream. You can find a list of coaching centers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. from where students get coached for these exams for a long time period. There are also crash courses conducted by these institutes to prepare the students for this exam. Some students go for self-studying. Competitive exams under the stream of engineering

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted by IIT for admitting befitting candidates into its programs such as B.Arc., B. E./B. Tech., and B. Planning. You can apply for it online.

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET): This entrance exam is conducted by the CBSE board to filter out befitting candidates for admission into the MBBS and BDS programs in the medical colleges across the country. You can apply for this program online.

Other national level entrance exams conducted in the stream of medicine includes CMC-Vellore, AIIMS, Manipal (MBBS), JIPMER, COMED-K, and CMC-Ludhiana.

Other entrance exams in the stream of fashion are conducted by School of Fashion Technology, Srishti School, Pearl Academy, Footwear Design and Development Institute, Symbiosis Institute of Design, National Institute of Design, Maeer's MIT Institute of Design, National Aptitude Test in Architecture, National Institute of Fashion Design, and Center for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT).
