A glamorous Hollywood evening of Short films by Dallas talent and the unveiling of the featured short film, The Truth Behind The Chords. The event will take place in a beautifully preserved 1930's era mansion. Live band in the ballroom. Hor d'uerves served by maids and butlers in vintage costumes. Door prizes for top 5 attendees who dress in 1930's glam. And prizes awarded to the top 3 aspiring short filmmakers, with invaluable film reviews by industry professionals. The incredible committee behind the event includes; Nicci Hejnar, Elaine Denton and Lori Anderson.

ABOUT THE FEATURE SHORT FILM: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE CHORDS

Centered in the 1930's philharmonic Society, The Truth Behind The Chords is a compelling story of a young girl's journey to becoming the next Ludwig Beethoven of her time. 15 year old Elise Zadok played by Casey Denton is by far a new discovery. She along with violin accompanist Stephan Schiller played by Alex Ross, must win their way into a full scholarship to Julliard. To Elise's surprise, composing is not her only struggle, as she plays the chords reveal the hidden truth of her identity, and unlocks the mystery surrounding her estranged father's death. This mind provoking film is sure to have you at the edge of your seats. The phenomenal cast includes, Casey Denton, Michele Cohen, Steven Brown, Alex Ross, Bill Jenkins and Linda Leonard.

It is the belief of La Vie Theaters to give back to the community, as result, a percentage of the proceeds received will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and preservation of the TheHistorical Aldredge Mansion.
