We need the environment as much as the environment needs us. We live on Earth, and if we don't want humanity to end, then we need to keep the environment safe and green. The damages, which the environment is getting includes pollution, global warming and biodiversity decrease. In order to save Earth, it’s time to go green.

Pollution is mostly caused by humans and the environment of Earth is being polluted drastically. Pollution destroys the life diversity and also the atmosphere which gets dirty because of it. Another reason is global warming. Global warming is the drastic increase in the global world temperature caused by many reasons. The reasons may be caused by Greenhouse gases which disrupt the atmosphere and cover the earth as the sun's rays hit the Earth; it gets trapped in that cover and makes the heat increase rapidly in the atmosphere.

From getting rid of plastic bags to chemical products, we are trying to come up with different and innovative ways so that we can go green. Going green is what many people are embracing to contribute towards the betterment of this planet and make this place a better place to live for future generations to come. When you go green, you are efficiently dropping your carbon footprint. By reducing pollution, you are decreasing the amount of energy that is being used and creating a greener and cleaner environment.

Going green can help you to be less reliable on fuels and other harmful toxins. You will become self-sufficient and be able to create new and innovative ways save energy in your home. Living a sustainable life requires make use of renewable energies and other resources. Also, in order to save Earth, we must save rainforests.

Every year a large area of rainforests goes towards developing of roads, highways, townships, and agriculture. Due to increase in urbanization, people are using the areas covered by rainforests for their own interests. Not just these, zillions of trees are axed to produce a ton of printing and writing paper. Rainforests act as air purifiers and are lifeline for thousands of plants and animals. So, we need to save them.

The Earth Care Awards (ECAs) is an initiative in the chain of international green awards which highlights locally evolved climate friendly practices in the production and consumption regimes across multiple sectors with special reference to climate change. The upcoming Earth Care Awards will recognize the actions and innovations for climate change mitigation and adaptation by communities, entrepreneurs, large scale industries, and small and medium scale enterprises.

The green awards 2018 will recognize, verify, and promote the replicable initiatives and interventions on the greenhouse gasses (GHG) emission reduction, natural resource conservation, energy efficiency improvement, development and promotion of innovative eco-friendly alternatives across various sectors of development.

2018 ECA awards will provide a platform to foster regional cooperation and support in terms of knowledge and technology transfer in the SAARC region. Going green can make a big difference in how you try to save the world around you. Taking a few small steps at a time can make a big impact on the Earth’s environment around you. So, let’s join hands to save our planet Earth.
