Are you motivated by identifying new growth opportunities and participating in the establishment of a new exciting business unit? Then you might be our new Product Manager for the Chinese market. You will join the new Business Unit China in ConsumerInternational, located in Aarhus. We are driving the development of Arla Foods’ business in China following the co-ownership agreement of the Mengniu Dairy Group. Our focus is to drive and secure the export of products from Arla to China across all relevant categories. You will be animportant player in establishing this new exciting business, and the positionwill give you a unique chance to establish a vast international network and participate in the development of one of Arla Foods’ most important business areas.

Managing product launches for Chinese market
As Product Manager, your overall responsibility will be to manage and deliver launchschedules for relevant products across milk, butter, cheese and yogurt to the Chinese market. This means driving all issues relating to the physical product towards the upstream organisation: Innovation, procurement (suppliers), production and logistics. As such you will be the primary contact for our Chinese colleagues into Arla on all product related issues. On the production side this includes all relevant production sites in Europe, primarily Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. You can expect 20-30 travel days a year.

You will be responsible for driving product, packaging and design development in close liaison with relevant suppliers, establish timeschedules for launches and secure adherence, quality and delivery. In addition, you will be driving the agreed NPD agenda through project management of prioritised projects and monitor the financial delivery of your products. A part of your job will also be to proactively identify new business opportunities for the Chinese market. You will be our expert on Chinese business requirements and drive understanding and focus on these throughout the Arla Foods organisation.

Experienced Product Manager with excellent communication skills
You hold a Master’s or a related degree in marketing or similar. You have 3-5 years of experience with product/project management, preferably from the FMCG industry, and if you have experience with the Chinese market, this is an additional benefit. You are an outgoing and independent individual with a flexible, analytical mindset.

You enjoy the challenges involved in handling a wide range of tasks in a multicultural environment and are willing to assume leadership when required. You should also have a keen eye for details and a structured work approach. Experience with SAP is an advantage. You have excellent negotiation and communication skills in both spoken and written English. Lastly, you should be able to get by in one of the Scandinavian languages, and knowledge of the Chinese language is an additional benefit.
