Jio Home TV Launch Date and Plans Revealed Online

Jio Home TV is the next big project of Reliance Jio. According to a report, the Mukesh Ambani led company is gearing up to launch this service very soon. Jio Home TV launch date is expected near Diwali. An announcement on this new service may come in the annual general meeting of Reliance Industries.

Jio Home TV Service:

This service is said to be different from the yet to launch Jio DTH. This hybrid technology combines the capabilities of TV channel and radio architecture. The thing to note here is that an active internet connection is not required to access the content.

Jio Home TV is likely to be a new streaming app which will allow users to enjoy live TV. This service will offer both HD and SD channels at affordable rates. It will work on newly developed technology. Jio Home TV service will make live streaming service more affordable for users.

Jio Home TV plans:

Jio Home TV plans surfaced recently hinting at a possible launch of this service. The company will come with two plans at Rs 200 and Rs 400 per month. The Rs 200 plan will provide SD channels while Rs 400 plan of Jio Home TV will offer SD and HD channels to the subscriber. Both the plans were briefly listed on MyJio app.

Earlier, Reliance Jio had confirmed testing of the Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) in its annual report. Jio Home TV service uses eMBMS technology to provide content in offline mode. This technology was tested on pan India basis.

Reliance Jio has been able to remain in news for its affordable tariff plans and exciting offers. The company has also launched many products successfully. Last year, Jio Phone was launched by the telecom operator. The 4G VoLTE device has emerged as the best selling feature phone worldwide with a market share of more than 15 percent. Recently, Jio postpaid offer was announced with a focus on cheap international roaming. Jio postpaid comes at Rs 199, offering many benefits to users such as unlimited calling, free roaming, and 20 GB data.

The launch of Jio Home TV launch may create a new wave in the home entertainment services. Jio Home TV is a modified version of Jio Broadcast app which was being tested for streaming HD content. Earlier, this service was tested on select devices. However, with the launch of Jio Home TV, this service will roll out for all Jio users. Affordable pricing and innovative technology both things may work in favor of Reliance Jio.

Once an official announcement is made by Reliance Jio, a more detailed view on the service will emerge. For the time being, lot of speculations are being made. There are also rumors that Jio Home TV may replace DTH service of the company. Jio DTH service is long awaited as the rumors of a possible launch surfaced some time back. Reportedly. Jio is working on IPTV services as well. Apart from aggressive pricing one can also expect a welcome offer on the launch of this new service.
