JEE Main Entrance Exam 2015

JEE Main 2015 Exam will be held on April 2015 in offline mode. The online exam will be held on four days. The Application Forms have been already released on Mid November 2014 and the last date of submission will be December 2014. The candidate must be eligible for the Admission, and candidate can verify his/her eligibility through the eligibility criteria provided for the JEE Main 2015. Following is the eligibility criteria. JEE Main 2015 Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must meet certain conditions to qualify as the candidate in the JEE Main 2015 exam.

The upper age limit for the general category will be 24 years on 1^st October 2014. This age limit for the candidates reserved under SC/ST/OBC will be relaxed by 5 years.
The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam of 12^th standard or other equivalent exam from authorized board after 2011.
The candidate appearing for 12^th /qualifying exams in 2014 are also eligible to appear in JEE Main 2015.
The candidate can attempt the exam at most for three times.
At least 5 subjects must have been opted by the candidate in qualifying exam.

JEE Main 2015 Application Form

JEE Main 2015 Application Form has been hosted by the official website since Mid November 2014. The interested candidates will be able to fill the Application Form only online at the official website of JEE. The last Date of Application submission will be December 2014.

Online Application Both papers (Paper 1 & paper 2): Rs.700/-

Application Form Process:

The candidate will have to log on to the official website.
The Application Form provided on the website must be filled by the candidate online.
The payment mode must be opted and Application fee must be paid.
Acknowledgment key will be generated after the submission of Application Form by candidate.
The candidate must stay in touch with the official website because if the Application Form is rejected or not received properly, candidates will not be informed individually.
if any such thing happens the admit card will not be issued for that candidate and candidate must complain immediately.

The candidate need not send any confirmation page or application form to the JEE office.

JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2015 Exam Pattern is the pattern which is followed while deciding the number of questions from different subjects of syllabus, marking scheme and question types.

The question paper will contain questions from the subjects – Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
The duration of the exam will be three hours.
The candidate may opt to give exam in either online and offline mode.
The questions will be of multiple choice type. Multiple options will be provide with one accurate option for each question.
There will be negative marking of ¼ marks for each attempted answer which is wrong.

JEE Main 2014 Cutoff

The cutoff marks are provided by the CBSE for the candidates so that they know the minimum marks to be achieved by them to be eligible for further admission process. Obtaining cutoff marks does not ensure the admission of candidate as it depends upon the merit and total number of seats available. The cutoff marks are different for different categories, because the relaxation is provided to the reserved classes even in the cutoff marks.
