JEE Main 2020 Admission Information

JEE Main is the national level entrance test organized by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into undergraduate engineering programs at the IITs, NITs and other centrally funded Technical Institutes. JEE Main is also an eligibility evaluation for JEE Advanced aspirants who wish to pursue their technology degree program in the IITs. The official notification for JEE Main 2020 is not yet been published by NTA. Nonetheless, in the following guide, we have a peek at the several facets of the examination for the benefit of candidates intending to write JEE Main in 2020. Please be aware that all schedule and data are based on past records and are tentative in nature. Click here for all the latest information.

JEE Main 2020 will be conducted both online as well as offline modes. There could be two objective-type papers covering Intermediate degree PCM syllabus. Of the 3 papers, Paper 1 is for B.E./B. Tech aspirants, Paper 2 is for candidates choosing for B. Arch and Paper 3 is for B.Planning program.

The procedure of registering for JEE Main, issuance of Admit Card to the Publishing of Results will be in the online mode through the official site www.jeemain.nic.in. Please note that applicants' Aadhar Card is mandatory for JEE Main Registration.

JEE Main Application Form - Released on 07 February

  • JEE Main 2020 Application process is available in online mode.

  • Except for applicants belonging to J&K, Assam, and Meghalaya, it's compulsory for all other candidates to enrol with their Aadhar Number (Aadhar Registration Number for applicants whose Aadhar Card has been applied for but not issued yet).

  • J&K, Assam and Meghalaya candidates may register with a valid passport number, bank a/c number, ration card number or any such ID evidence issued by the authorities.

  • It is mandatory for candidates to have a legal personal email ID along with an energetic mobile amount for JEE Main Registration. Candidates are advised to retain their registered email ID and mobile phone number till the JEE Main and subsequent procedures till admission are over as important information might be shared via email or SMS by an exam-conducting authority.

  • Candidates need to make sure that all details entered on the JEE Main Application Form are right as CBSE offers very limited scope to create any correction/modification in the form after entry. There's generally a short window for online correction or modification with a legitimate reason for specific sections from the shape. Please note that no modification will be accepted via fax/application including e-mail etc..

  • The program fee for JEE Main can be paid online (debit/credit cards) and offline (e-challan deposited together with the needed quantity of cash at Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank). Additional bank charges as important will be to be borne by the candidates.

  • Please note that in the event the payment procedure is not complete, the acknowledgement slip won't be generated upon entry of JEE Main Application Form. The fee payment status can be checked on the official site.

JEE Main Admit Card

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card Will be uploaded to the official website www.jeemain.nic.in for all of the candidates that have submitted the online application complete in all respect within the deadline. Candidates will have to download, print and save the document from the site. Please be aware it is very important that candidates carry their Admit Card in person on the day of the exam or else they will not be allowed to write the exam.

Candidates are advised to check the Admit Card thoroughly for the Details like Title, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, Test Centre Name, City, State Code of Eligibility and Category. Any discrepancy must be immediately reported to JEE Main Secretariat/NTA for required action.

JEE Main Result

The result for JEE Main 2020 will be published on the official site. Result for paper 1 And 2 will be declared separately alongside India Ranking (AIR) and Category Ranking. The scorecard will have to be downloaded from the website. Please note that the scorecards will not be discharged to Applicants by NTA. Admissions to the NITs, IIITs, CFTIs etc. will probably be Dependent on the AIR.
