To apply for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), candidates have to fill the JEE Main 2016 Application Form. The form would be available on the official site of JEE Main from mid November 2015 onwards. Last date to fill the form would be December 2015.

Highlights of JEE Main 2016 Application Form

Unlike previous years, application form process has been made completely online. Now, candidates have to fill the form, submit the documents, photos and signatures, remit the form fee online while filling the form.
No physical document or certificate must be sent to the JEE Main office.
Admissions in engineering colleges of Odisha and Maharashtra would now be made on the basis of JEE Main 2016, thus candidates belonging to these states are required to attempt the exam.

Form Submission Instructions

Download the information bulletin/admission brochure released on the official website and read it in detail the eligibility criteria mentioned within. After assuring the eligibility, proceed to fill the application form to apply for the exam.

Open the official website of JEE and click the link titled as “Apply Online”
Enter all the necessary personal and educational details asked. No field must be left empty.
Mention correct contact information (residential address and telephone numbers) as all the correspondences will be made on the same.
Mark the options of exam center, course and mode. Also, specify if JEE Advanced 2015 is to be attempted or not.
Upload scanned images of thumb impression, photograph, signature and documents in legitimate resolution.
Pay examination fee via e-challan or credit/debit card payment gateway.
Verify all the details and submit the form.
Take printouts of acknowledgement slip and preserve it for future references.

Important Points

Candidate must not send multiple forms to apply. Else, all the forms are prone to rejection.
No fee would be refunded in any circumstances to any candidate.
In case result of QE is to be declared after June 2015, candidates belonging to such exam board are advised not to apply.
The name to be filled in the application form must be similar to class XII certificate.

Fee Submission Modes

Candidates can deposit the form fee from any of the two modes: e-challan or credit/debit card. To complete the application form process, it is mandatory that candidate submits the fee. E-challan can be downloaded from the official JEE website. Fill it and submit the challan at nearest bank branch. Keep the transaction details safe.

On choosing credit/debit card, candidates can deposit the fee online while filling the form. It’d save them the hassles of downloading, printing and visiting the branch. The fee details are as follows:
