Is the word ' shame ' justified crime against women?

we need to protest every time when there is a siren to rape? A huge procession
broke out in 2012 when Nirbhaya’s brutal rape exploded rage amongst youngsters,
more than 2 years have been passed, still women safety is a grave issue in
India. Such horrific incidences have led to more protests and yelling and women
are asking that, what is happening here?
Today,
registering an FIR at police stations is still a challenge and suing the
culprits can be a life threatening process. The police department takes much
time to take immediate actions, for which victims are cornered and the guilty
roams fearlessly. The notion of rape has become so ubiquitous violence. Is the
word ' shame ' justified the day by day rise in crime against women?
Even
women in the corporate world are not fully safe and daily newspapers give
witness of the rising crime against women in work places. These working women
are not victims of any particular consequences,
they are wretched by human lust, harassment, blackmailing and extortion.
They
are engulfed in the pains of repeated sexual harassment just because they
belong to modest families and do not want to make a whirlwind out of it. They
don't just sustained life threats, but they also put their career at stake. What
shall a woman do when her money has been extorted several times so that she
undergoes psychological pangs and can’t escape from this jitter?
They
cannot muster up courage to visit police stations because they know that they
will be pushed away by the police saying, “your life will be made miserable as they are big names.” In spite
of such bitter experiences, their struggle for justice still continued.
Although the Delhi police has
been severely criticized for the Nirbhaya rape case yet there is no
rectification in the system. It is the legal fraternity which is committed to
listening their voices and extending hands for all sorts of legal help. Mr. Kislay Pandey - Criminal Lawyer at the Supreme Court of
India is handling many such cases and working rigorously to bring justice in
their life.
Mr. Kislay Pandey said that, “despite of various new laws and rules in favour of Sexual victims; the police is still non-serious about the safety of women. The Police has also proved that if a victim has no social or financial backup, a woman must forget any justice. Whereas, as per the law, police is bound to register an FIR at the very moment they receive a complaint.”
