Is Eye Color Change Surgery Dangerous?

by Sandy Clark Writer
Some people want to change their eye colour but there are some risks associated with it so, one thing that will come in mind is eye colour change surgery dangerous? Yes, it’s dangerous even FDA not approved this clinically. Previously iris implant surgery used to repair damaged eye or any distraction in the eyes but now days some medical practitioner use this to change eye colour completely. Major changes in the iris' pigment may indicate various illnesses, such as:

Horner's syndrome
Fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis
Pigmentary glaucoma
Iris melanoma

But you must know eye colour surgery risks such as:

Persistent pain
Redness
Itchiness
Discharge
Eye inflammation
Swelling
Injury to the cornea
Glaucoma
Cataracts
Partial vision loss or blindness etc.

If you feel any of them you must consult with the doctor and avoid major complications.  Temporary eye colour change procedure is easy and in common but change in your eye color permanently may be quite difficult and involve surgical procedure so, you must follow guidelines and take care of the things.

The most popular colors that you can change your eye color include:

Blue
Hazel
Green
Violet
Gray
Amethyst
Brown
Soft Blue etc.

Eye colour changing is not limited to surgical procedure only, you can change it on temporarily basis but decorative contact lenses associated the same health risks as corrective lenses if it used incorrectly or inappropriately. If you are going to buy corrective or Plano contacts without complete check up or prescription, or buy lenses that aren’t approved from FDA, may be you are getting defective or unsanitary lenses that can cause severe problem to your eye.

Change your eye color permanently is safe if you follow complete guidelines but may be you face some complexities because it will depend upon eye to eye. Complexities such as: blurry vision, vision loss, itchy, watery eyes and other allergic reactions.

Iris implant surgery is a new and controversial practice that has yet to be scrutinized completely by medical practitioner. There is very little or you can say no evidence proving that this procedure is effective and safe. Even cosmetic iris surgery hasn’t been evaluated by a regulatory agency in the United States.

So, you can go with your own risks while changing permanent eye color.
