iPhone Buzz Vanishes As Older Models Keep On Ticking
by Global Employees Software Development CompanyFor five years, the introduction of an Apple iPhone has triggered the same type of worldwide hysteria that was at one time reserved for beloved musical groups — customers camping out for days in front of stores, oftentimes wearing Apple-themed costumes.
iPhone developer professionals may be interesting in knowing that this might be changing. Lowered expectations for huge changes to its next upgrade, and information that showed that consumers are holding onto their phones longer, imply that the buzz about Apple is fading.
Apple reached the point in which 'the phone is so good, I am just not as thrilled to buy the newest version,' according to Blake Rose, who moved west recently from Ohio. Rose owns the iPhone 6Sthat was released last September.
Apple products' sales dipped over 20 percent at Target Corp. when the retailer's quarter ended on July 30th, according to Target's CEO Brian Cornell last Wednesday, which contributed to a 7 percent decline in overall sales.
Historically, Apple launches new iPhones right after Labor Day, and if Apple follows the patterns of past years, it'd introduce a smartphone that has a major upgrade and redesign, perhaps the iPhone 7.
However, this fall, some analysts,
which include Tim Bajarin of Creative Strategies expect the brand to
hold off on a big upgrade, instead waiting for the year 2017 and the
10th anniversary of the smartphone. According to Bajarin, he would not be
shocked if next year, the brand skips 8 and 9 then launches the iPhone
10, for its anniversary. For more details, hire iPhone developer.
