by Aida Martin Norton Setup

Recently on the annual World Wide Developer Conference, iOS 12, Apple added numerous of major latest features and also some changes to the FaceTime and Messages applications. In addition to iOS, many of these latest features will be available in MacOS Mojave and will be launch alongside iOS 12 this year.

FaceTime Changes in iOS 12

The most prominent changes to the statement in iOS 12 will come in the form of a brand new FaceTime app, which includes hallmark feature, group FaceTime calls and also allows for an amazing 32 participants in a single video call.

The new feature of group call is accompanied by a brand new interface, which features three or four large squares and known as the presenters, that features people are currently speaking, and a row of some other participants on the bottom which is called the roster. Clicking on a participant option will always allow you a closer look at the person’s feed.

The group call feature of Facetime is highly integrated with the Messages. A member of a group chat can also start a group call by sending a message in the chat, and people can easily join in as they are available. Additionally, Apple Watch users can join the group calls through voice for on the go communication methods.

The latest FaceTime feature also integrates with the Camera and Animoji, which allow for animations and live filters during the group calls. Users are easily able to replace their head with an Animoji, and by using the iPhone X’s facial recognition system feature, used the facial expressions with the emoji-like characters features.

Messages App Changes in iOS 12

The messaging app is receiving some improvements in the iOS 12.

The messaging app dock has been revised to allow for easier access. On iOS 12 Messages also now include the‘Mimoji’ on devices which support Animoji currently available only in the iPhone X). The messages new feature allows the users to create custom, human-like Animoji by using the deep customizability options. Users can add so many Mimoji in their message folder, which is similar to the FaceTime, now they can raise the new Messages camera to take a photo with their top as an Animoji.

The Messages new camera will allow for an array of some other new abilities. It now comes with some filters and also with the editing options which is provided by Apple, and also supports photo editing tools and third-party filters, which can be used to edit and share photos with the friends. Now, the Stickers are also supported in the messaging camera.

However, the iOS 12 supports a new set of Animoji such as the tiger, koala, t-rex, and ghost. As already discussed above, Facetime and Messages are now strongly integrated allowing users to jump directly into the calls once they have already started.
