Secret #3 - MISSION

Imagine that you are a soldier about to go into the biggest battle of your entire life. This battle will determine your fate in this world. You may not make it out of this battle alive. If your army loses this battle, they will be shackled for life and kept as slaves by the enemy camp, IF the enemy allows any to live at all.

Imagine everything that is riding on this one battle.

Freedom or Slavery...
Life or Death...

Stray but a little in your mission and the end of everything good is likely.

Now imagine that your leader, your general, gathers you all around to lay out the battle plan and this is what he says:

"Give it your best try everyone. We are just going to wing it. Every man for himself out there. Try not to die. Good luck!"

A truly compelling speech huh? It gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling doesn't it? From that amazing speech you now feel as if your fellow soldiers and your leader are there for you. You feel like you are all in this together...Ha!

Mission Accomplished right?

Wrong!

With a battle plan like that you are truly dead, and with the overall mission motto of "every man for himself", you may begin to wonder if even your own fellow soldiers will become a danger to you!

To put it bluntly, if you are going to attain any modicum of success in this industry and achieve the life you want, you need a strategy and a game plan to get there.

If you don't know HOW you are going to accomplish something, your goals are nothing more than pipe-dreams. That is the difference.

But there is more. In this industry your mission must include the survival and benefit of your fellows within it. Allow me to explain what I mean.

When I first started out in this industry I only had one goal and that was to make as much money as possible. That was it. I had no specific plan on how to get all of this money; I just knew that I was going to have it one way or another. I was like the guy up there: -------->

In other words it was all about me.

Remember what we talked about in Secret #1? We talked about Mindset and how it pretty much determines everything. Mindset is like the foundation. If you do not have the proper mindset, whatever you build on that improper foundation will be just as bad.

If you start with rotten eggs, no amount of spices or cooking time is going to make them taste good. They are rotten.

The same goes for your business.

Without a mission or game plan you are just bouncing around looking for a few bucks here or a few bucks there. You won't be able to commit to anything let alone help anyone else do the same for themselves.

But, even if you have a game plan and a strategy, if your ultimate "mission" is to simply become as rich as possible in network marketing, you will also have a hard time getting anywhere.

Since I started out in this industry with the "it's all about me" attitude, all of my marketing ended up emanating this same attitude. It didn't matter what I was trying to sell. In network marketing it is even worse because you have to engage people and communicate with them on a daily basis to be successful
. Network marketing is a people business.

If you are talking with a possible prospect on the phone, or helping a new member who has just joined you in a new business, and your only mission is to make as much money as you possibly can, they will sense that when you talk to them. You will come off as "salesy", pushy, selfish and needy.

Nothing will kill your business more than this attitude. Like I said, people can sense it. They won't know why they don't like you, but you will see your sales dry up and people will start disappearing.

I am not talking about the people who are going to disappear anyway because they are not cut out to be an entrepreneur. I am talking about the prospect or the new member who is there to learn and who WANTS to build a business. You will lose them, and they are your most precious allies!

Nothing will turn this person off more than a sponsor who appears to have no actual interest in their success.

We are naturally attracted to successful people and to people who care. We like to associate with the heroes...the battle-scarred warriors who have a real mission in life and who act from a premise of honor and purpose.

Let me be even blunter:

Have you ever felt like you were talking to this guy on the phone? Or reading his website?

How did that make you feel? Were you excited to take up a deal with that person or start a business with them?

Does ANYONE feel comfortable with the idea of starting a business with "Vinnie the Used Car Salesman?"

Do I really need to go into any more detail than this?

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one speaks volumes. Does "Vinnie" look like he has an honorable mission in life to help you be the best you can be?

Nuff Said...

In network marketing you have to take care of your business partners. They need to trust you and feel like you are looking out for them. They are looking for some direction in this crazy industry and they are thinking of taking a chance on you and what you have to offer.

The last thing they need is for you to come off as a sleazy used car salesman who is desperate for their money.

When I started to finally understand this concept I realized that I needed a new mission. If I was going to build a thriving business in network marketing and reach all of my goals, my mission was going to have to be bigger than me.

Listen...

Changing your mission in this industry is not a hard thing to do. You don't have to draw up any papers or have them notarized at City Hall. You don't have to present your new Business Plan to the bank to get it up and running.

To change your mission - change your focus.

That’s it. If you make a simple change in your focus, and act from this new focused reality, you will see a net positive change in your business overnight.

It is not a coincidence that Secret #3 (Your Mission) ties back into Secret #1 (Your Mindset.) Your mission and mindset become intertwined eventually and you get a new lease on life. Your reality is different now and you have come full circle.

Here is the big secret about your mission:

You will automatically accomplish all of your goals when you make your mission about helping others accomplish theirs.

By making your mission in this industry one of helping others, you increase your value to society and in this industry automatically, thus you continue to strengthen your original foundations in Secret #1.

I already talked about this in the section on mindset a bit, but I want to state it again. You won't make more money simply because you want it. This statement should be self-evident as you look out at the world around you. Not everyone is wealthy, healthy and wise.

Think about anything worthwhile you ever accomplished in life. Did you accomplish it simply because you wanted to? Of course not. Anything worthwhile takes careful planning. You need a strategy. You need to execute that plan properly and you need
patience.

But most of all, you need a "WHY" or a reason to pursue those dreams. You need a purpose to accomplish great things.

Your mission has to be large enough to inspire others. In network marketing, YOU must become a leader worthy of following
. Can you do that? Do you have what it takes? Is your mission clear?

I have personal goals that I wish to reach and network marketing is the vehicle I choose to help me reach those goals. BUT, to be successful in network marketing requires that I am able to lead and inspire others to greatness as well.

Network marketing is a funny thing. It is designed so that the bulk of the money you will earn will not come from how much you can personally sell or how many people you personally sponsor, but how much you can inspire others to accomplish and do for themselves.

The beauty of this industry is that it is self-feeding. Success starts with passion and when you start to become successful as a result of a passion for your mission, your success adds more fuel to your passion!

It is an awesome feeling!

The more passionate you are about helping others, the more they will succeed and the more you will succeed as a result. Your success fuels your passion, your passion fuels your members, and their success fuels your passion even more.

If you can understand even a small bit of what I am telling you now you will become unstoppable in this world.

The point is that with a simple shift in focus, you will receive a choice that was not open to you before. You get to choose your own life...your own adventure. You get to design your own lifestyle, and you never need to find fuel for that desire ever again. It fuels itself.

Imagine what you can create and then get passionate about it!

Just don't lose your focus.

You will automatically get everything you want in life if you focus on helping others get what they want.

It is as simple as that.

The money you are seeking to earn online has always been nothing more than a by-product. Really think about that for a minute...it is a by-product.

This changes everything.

If you are ready for all of this then I invite you into the hidden chamber of Secret #4. Yes, there is a 4th "M" I did not mention it at the beginning. But since you have come this far, I will share it with you now.
