Installation For Tile Trim Or Stair Nosing
by Kevin Ho Kingoals Aluminum Co., Ltd.Step
1: Select proper color and shape of profile to fit thickness of your tile.
Step
2: Place grout & mortar to the area where tile, tile trim (or stair
nosing)
are to be laid on, using the proper size notch trowel.
Step
3: Press the pre-punched anchor leg of the profile into the grout until grout
fills the cutout-holes, align trim with tile edge to make sure the tile is
flush against lower edge of trim face to ensure a uniform grout joint space
between trim and tile.
Step
4: Trowel additional grout evenly over and completely cover the pre-punched
cutout hole of anchor leg, and ensure the anchor leg should be partially buried
in the grout to support the tile trim or stair nosing.
Step
5: Ensure the tile is flush with top of profile or slightly lower. The profile
should not be higher than the tiled surface, but rather up to around 1mm lower.
Step
6: After the tiles and profile have set, fill the joint completely with grout.
Step
7: Slightly wipe off redundant grout immediately.
