India's maximum runs in T20 Internationals, as well as their win-loss record

by Hreet N. Business

Batsmen format refers to the T20 format. In whatever format, the Indian squad is noted for their consistency against batsmen. In terms of batting, India has a strong T20I record. In T20IS, India has scored 175 points ten times, with seven of those games ending in victory. India's Win-Loss Ratio in Runs Over 175 is 2.33, which is the second-lowest among the Top 8 Test Teams, trailing only the West Indies. This demonstrates that their bowling was unable to protect match-winning overall numbers.

1. 218 runs 4 wickets (2007 vs. England):

This game will be remembered for several firsts for India. It all begins with Sehwag and Gambhir, who knocked on 135 in 14.4 overs, the best opening partnership for India in this series. Sehwag had a total of 68 while Gambhir had a score of 58. But it was when Yuvraj arrived that the real history began. In Stuart Broad's final over of the game, he smacked six sixes. He achieved his fifty in just 12 deliveries in the penultimate over, which remains a milestone. India scored 218/4, their maximum score in T20Is, because of his striking. Afterwards, pursuing a massive score, England got off to a fantastic start, but they couldn't do anything remarkable like Yuvraj, and they finished on 200, 19 runs short of the objective.

2. 211 runs 4 wickets (2009 against. Sri Lanka):

India was required to win the final game to tie the series after losing the first T20I. Sri Lanka chose to bat and finished with 206 runs 7 wickets, precisely 9 runs shy of the first T20 total, thanks to a collective effort. India got off to a fantastic start in chasing a massive total once again. For the second wicket, Sehwag and Dhoni put up 60 runs in 5 overs. With 9 overs to play, Sehwag was removed for 2nd wicket at 108. Yuvraj Singh, the neighbourhood lad, the birthday boy, and the hero with the ball, took three wickets. Yuvraj put in one of his greatest performances. He jumped on the assault and pounded the ball all over the park. He hit a 25-ball 60, including five sixers. This was the highest run chase by India in T20.

3. 202 runs 4 wickets (2013 against. Australia):

India chose to field in the lone T20I against Australia. The Australians, on the other hand, got off to a flying start. Aaron Finch, in particular, pitched a lot of innings. Maddison and Maxwell backed him up. Finch was knocked for 174 in the 17th over, but the lower order managed only to reach 201, which is certainly a big total in this format. India got off to a good start in their chase of 202 runs, but they continued to lose wickets. In 11.1 overs, India had reached 100/4. Then Yuvraj began his takeover. Along with Dhoni's contribution, he brutalised the Australian bowling attack. Yuvraj hammered 77 runs off 35 deliveries, including five sixes and eight fours, to win the match by two balls.
