Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria Warns Nigerian against the India Visa fraud

Recently Nagabhushana Reddy, who is the Indian high commissioner to Nigeria, has warned Nigerian people regarding the hoaxer happening while they apply for a visa to India.

There are many third-party imposters who are identified as travel agents are involving in this fraudster.

Mr. Reddy was giving the interview to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja and suggested Nigerians who are seeking for e-Visa India to visit the official website of high commissions to find the right information regarding the visa.

He said that online application is made available for the convenience of the applicants so that they might use the information available on the website and apply for e-Visa Indian online itself.

He also said that we have increased the security measures to our website so that applicants might be assured of his/her personal information safe. We have integrated an online system, through which visa can be applied for India.

We also have an interview with the applicant to get assured if a real person is trying to apply for the visa.

The high commissioner has clearly stated that if applicants found with the false documents are liable to pay the penalty. Furthermore, doing this will also obstruct the applicants to apply for the Indian visa in the future.

Mr. Reddy has also ensured that Nigeria and India, both the country visa officials are working strictly to lessen the numbers of applicants providing the false documents deriving from the agents.

Mr. Reddy said, “We should not tamper the relationship of two populous countries by a small group of people for any reason.”

The embassy was working closely to make sure that the fraudulent activities by the agent do not affect Indian visa seeker.

The embassy charges the fee of $253 for all the visa types depending upon the global principle of reciprocity.

The online visa process could take up to 3 weeks and thus give candidates enough time to arrange the necessary documents ahead of time.
