Immigrant Children Benefit With Canada Immigration Programs and Outgrow Canadians
by aman sharma Canada Immigration,Canada PR VisaChildren of immigrants who
arrived in Canada before they were 15 had the highest rate of post-secondary
enrollment and annual earnings.
According to a research conducted
by Statistics Canada in 2018, which examined data from tax files, this is the
case. Immigrants who arrived in Canada before the age of 15 were the subject of
the study.
By the age of 20, 70% of these
immigrants have enrolled in a post-secondary institution. In comparison, the
general population's percentage is 56%. The majority of these 20-year-olds
seeking post-secondary education are women who arrived to Canada before the age
of 15.

In 2018, the average yearly wage
for 25-year-olds was around $29,700. The average annual income of those who
immigrated as children was $30,300.
The average annual pay for
30-year-olds was $41,800. To put this into perspective, 30-year-olds who moved
to Canada as children earned an average of $47,400 per year.
As a result, immigrant children
have grown up to earn a salary that is 13% greater than the general population.
The average pay is linked to
immigrant status.
Economic class immigration,
family class immigration, and refugee class immigration are the three types of
immigrants who come to Canada.
The bulk of immigrants are from
lower socioeconomic backgrounds. They enter Canada through a variety of routes,
the most common of which being the Express Entry
and Provincial Nominee Programs.
Immigrants in the family class
were sponsored to come to Canada by a Canadian spouse, parent, or other family
member.
Those seeking asylum in Canada
are classified as refugees.
When compared to children of
family and refugee class immigrants, children of economic class immigrants had
the highest rate of post-secondary enrolment and annual salaries.
From the age of 24 onwards, the
wages of economically disadvantaged youngsters outpace those of the general population.
Before the age of 24, children
from the family and refugee classes earned more than children from the economic
classes. This could be due to the fact that they were more likely to be working
rather than attending school at the time.
In 2018, children from lower
socioeconomic backgrounds earned an average pay of $52,400, compared to $41,800
for the general population. Children from refugee families earned an average of
$41,600, while children from lower-income homes earned an average of $40,100.
The gap between the various
immigration classifications is partly related to the manner in which these
immigrants are admitted to Canada.
Immigrants from lower socioeconomic groups are
welcomed to Canada depending on their capacity to assimilate into the Canadian
labour market. Their age, education, work experience, language abilities, and
whether or not they have a job offer in Canada are all taken into
consideration. Immigrant children are more likely to follow in their parents'
