HTML5 vs CSS3 - Same or Completely Different Languages?

If I talk about the HTML5 evolutions then there are various updates in this language which make the learning and implementing the language very easily.

In HTML, firstly the tags and elements are added to the web pages for defining the layout of the webpage and differentiate it by the headings, page beginning, and ending, image etc. CSS use as the presentation language which helps HTML to design and present their ideas which are full of styling, impressive fonts, and colours.

In HTML5 some of the new features are as follows-

1) Changed Doctype-

In HTML5, there is easy and fewer code to remember doctype code or you easily can skip with the browser compatibility. In new doctype, you just need to declare like . Working with HTML is really an informal work as it is very easy to understand.

2) Caption association with Image-

In previous versions of HTML to associate the caption with the image it required another paragraph tag for wrapping the image. HTML5 solved this by introducing new element with elements. Now, this solves the problem of the association of caption with the image.

3) Redefining tag

Previously the small tag is used for the subheadings but from the HTML5 released small tag is used for small prints like in website page footer have the copyright statements there the implementations of the tag can be made.

4) The type declaration is Gone in HTML5.

The type attribute is used to link tag and script tag. Now, the tags become advanced so, no need to declare the type of link and script usage in code.

Link and script tags can now be used directly without using type attribute.

5) Quotation marks usage finished.

The use of double quotes or single quotes is exempted from HTML5.

Wrapping the attributes with quotation marks are not to be followed from now onwards. It simplified the coding of web design more and efficient also.

Some of the new features of CSS3 can be described as-

CSS3 have vast new features to style the layout with more cleaner code and great user experiences.

1)New Selector

The old selector has specific ids and classes which is for every element. In CSS3 some new selectors are there which do not require ids and appears to have the more clean code.

2)Effective Round corner

In earlier versions of CSS, the rounding corners are the major task with bundled code and to positioned at proper place is a troublesome task. This problem is solved by the CSS3 by including border-radius property which provides the rounded corner effect by easy going.

3) Border image Attribute

Border Image attribute is introduced in the CSS3 version with this functionality the image appears with borders in web pages.

4) Box Shadow

For the creation of box-shadow now there is an attribute to implement that which take dimensions of shadow and provide you the box with a drop shadow to make it more impressive.

5) Text Shadow

In CSS3, it enhances the looks of the text by bringing shadow to the text. This can be done by the new attribute text-shadow property introduced in CSS3.
