by Steve Smith Project Manager at PageRanksolution
Social media is the buzz and a great way to expand and create your business’ brand. But for that you need build your leads which are essential. But what exactly is a lead? Why do you need them? Explaining in lay-man terms, leads are basically potential customers who are interested in your brand and your product. They express the former through various forms such as sharing their business details or contact information which is essentially a great way to reach out to them.If you have a dedicated team which is involved in social media management or sales or marketing, you can hand over the baton for them to take it up and follow up in the process such that you build your customer base which is crucial for any business base. But why do you have to do it on social media? Because, it is full of people. And it is easier to reach out to them given that everyone is one their phone these days, and it is cost efficient and effective too!

But how to do that? How do you develop leads?

Social media is rampant and brutal when it comes to building customers. The leading portals such asFacebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, so on and so forth have multiple hacks which allow you to take care of few pointers such that you do not get lost in the swarm of audience. It is important that you take care of these such that you stay afloat above your competition. This is important when exposure is concerned.

Facebook:

Facebook is the most widely used social media platform. You can create facebook page or group and add the people of same interest. You can add and update post everyday to make the people aware about your product and services. This can be the best platform to connect with them via messenger or comments. They will also provide you the feedback about your product. You can update your site URL with each post in order to drive traffic to your site via these links.

Through Facebook, you could use a couple of tips. It could mean that you might have to pay for your ads to pop on people’s pages or running that paid ad on the page. It is budget friendly and accommodative given the crowd is so huge. Compared to AdWords, Facebook charges a lower amount which could be beneficial for you when it comes to saving marketing costs.

You could run contents, you could create a web page which is treated like a website, you could build a custom tab, which runs ads which attracts people towards them. A legitimate contact information builds credibility which can work out in your favor.

Twitter

Promoted ads, Twitter Cards, tracking brand mentions and the infamous “hashtag” is something that you could build your brand on. This helps people track you and reach out to you. Using social media monitoring tools or ad mechanisms such as creating events, features and the likes are enough to get you featured and trending which is all you need to get noticed in a matter of minutes.

Instagram

No, it is not vain. No, it is not just for photos. Your business accounts can get multiple views, but it is doomed for oblivion if you do not take care of your audience. Respond to that comment, keep them on their toes, have that daily feed updated, posts videos which connects instead of text which is boring, and you would have a brilliant lead building itself up just for you.

LinkedIn

Local presence, paid search audits, holds on social media platforms, optimization of content and portals which are exposed to the customers need to be top notch. Most of the websites fail to make it scathe-free. However, their weakness can be your strength. Build your portal in such a way that it doesn’t compromise on the user experience.

LinkedIn, for example, is one of the most important sites where in you can use the strategy for lead generation. You can start off by sharing posts, introductions, blurbs, common interests, so on and so forth. You can also engage in causal compliments for start-ups who are trying to get themselves noticed.
