How Urea is Being Used in 5 Industries

by Tyler P. A Passionate Blogger - Entertainment
A large number of farmers are looking for urea exporters. Urea has different applications but it is used more in agriculture. Countries that export urea make more money from selling to farmers than other industries.

This however does not mean it is only farmers that are looking for urea exporters. As we shall see, urea is beneficial in other areas including health and cosmetics. There is an increasing demand and supply of urea with millions of dollars changing hands in this industry. Let us see what is driving this demand.

Agricultural Fertilizer
You can buy Turkmenistan iodine for soil fertility purposes, and urea is also a good chemical for soil and plants. However, unlike iodine, 90 percent of urea is utilized as fertilizer. When added to the soil, it will provide nitrogen to the plants.

It is also sprayed directly on the leaves of plants especially oranges and other citrus fruit trees. Urea however needs to be diluted in water before it can be sprayed on plants. After harvest, urea is used to rejuvenate the soil nutrients that are normally depleted by the plants as they grow. This ensures that the next crop will have sufficient nitrogen in the soil.

Cosmetics
The cosmetic industry also uses urea in small amounts. Urea is a good exfoliating agent. Exfoliation can help rejuvenate the skin by getting rid of dry skin on the surface. It is also a good water-binding agent which makes it a good combination with other skincare products. It can be used to help the skin absorb skin products that keep skin moisturized and healthy.

Some skin products used in the management of acne contain urea as an active ingredient. Urea has properties that kill the bacteria associated with acne. It can also work to prevent fungal acne.

Environmental Protection
This may seem a bit surprising but urea is being actively used to save the environment. Diesel vehicles are known for polluting the environment when they emit nitrogen oxide which is a known pollutant. These vehicles are now being fitted with urea tanks which are intended to reduce the emissions of the trucks.

Urea will “scrub” the nitrogen oxide in the exhaust of the vehicles so that they do not emit the pollutant in large amounts. In the United States, this is being enforced particularly for buses and trucks but the regulation may extend to diesel cars as well to comply with emission guidelines.

Explosives
Urea fertilizer is a common ingredient in homemade explosives. Although these can be misused, they are also helpful in small scale mining. In some parts of the world where rock blasting is practiced the explosives contain urea as one of the components of the explosives. This however has to be done according to guidelines and safety standards.

Animal Feed
Small amounts of urea are added to cattle feed to improve protein intake. Urea can serve as a low-cost source of protein particularly for beef cattle. These feeds however need to be given with caution as excess amounts of urea can prove harmful to the cattle.

Conclusion
Urea is particularly helpful in farming and that is why 90 percent of it is used in fertilizer. With more research, however, we can discover new ways to use it.
