How to Utilize Shortcuts Automations on iPhone and iPad

by Lucia Mandela software

The Automation is the new add-on function to the shortcut lineup, and it can be utilized on iOS & iPadOS 13. It makes use of a trigger to activate with the help of Siri by tapping the widget or from the application. It may be triggered on various occasions like the time of day, arrival and departure from a stipulated venue, power mode, and so on. It will run on its own when it gets its specific conditions to process; otherwise, it will give you a message regarding any occurring error.

About Automation Trigger

The Automation trigger can be divided into three brief sections:

  1. Events
  2. Travels
  3. Settings.

It can work on both “active” and “passive” mode. The first option deals with the result of a user’s deliberate tasks and actions. The other one deals with the time of day, its location of arriving or leaving the venue. The Automation can be easily accessed via an NFC tag- a digitally signed object or a sticker that works to provide all the information easily and quickly by scanning it through the iPhone.

Make sure that you have iPhone X or its further editions to operate the NFC tag. Follow these simple instructions to set- up NFC tag:

  1. First of all, launch the “Shortcuts” on your flagship.
  2. Then hit the “Automation” icon located at the bottom of the page.
