How to Use PlayStation 4 Remote Play

Things Needed

The PlayStation 4 should be running System Software 3.50 or newer.

  • DualShock 4 controllers
  • USB wire
  • PSN Account
  • Stable internet network
  • A compatible device such as Windows or MacOS computer, iPhone, Android, or PlayStation Vita.

Enabling PlayStation 4 Remote Play

Follow the steps listed below:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Remote Play Connection Settings.
  3. Check that the Enable Remote Play box is marked.

The console needs to be set to Primary so that you can get remote access to your games. While it is not necessary to do, it will make your setup procedure a lot easier. To do so, follow the steps mentioned below:

  2. Select PlayStation Network.
  3. Click on Activate as Your Primary PS4.

  2. Select Power Save Settings.
  3. Click on Set Features on Rest Mode.
  4. Now, select Stay Connected to the Net.

  1. First, visit the Sony site.
  2. Now, find the PlayStation 4 Remote Play client for your computer.
  3. Download it.
  4. When the installation is over, power on the console.

  7. Click on Start.
  8. Log in to your PSN account.

  1. Enable your PlayStation 4.

  3. Select the Remote Play connection.
  4. Click on Add a Device.
  5. Note down the code on the screen.
  6. Now, launch the Remote Play application on PlayStation Vita.
  7. Input the code that you had noted down.
  8. Allow the devices to get paired.

After setting up the PS4 and enabling Remote Play, users can start playing. They can enable their network to power on their PlayStation whenever it is in the resting mode. Or else, users will have to manually power on the console to use the Remote Play feature.
