These updates is known as maintenance releases or ‘patches’, are free product releases that improve program functionality and fixes all known QB software issues. Updates should not be confused with upgrades, which add significant new features with functions to the program that must be purchased on CD-ROM. Steps to enable or disable to an Automatic Update option, follow the steps as described:-

First go to the help main menu and then click to the option that is indicated to update QuickBooks.
Under the update QB windows, give one right click to the options tab.

If you enabled your automatic update option, choose the update which you want to receive & then clear your old updates which a user didn’t want in their update section.
