How to Take Care of Women's Underwear

Most women love to invest the last penny of their paycheck on lovely and luxury women’s underwear. Since most cost a fortune, every woman would be interested in learning how to take care of them. Here are a few tips on how to preserve your underwear and keep them in their condition for the longest time possible.

1. Wash the underwear before wearing them even if they are new.

This step is for sanitary purposes and is highly advisable. To get rid of any potential chemical residue, washing the women’s underwear first is always a good idea. So, since you take care of your body well, why not be kind to the skin and wash everything before you wear it.

2. Soak the underwear for not more than half an hour.

While soaking them, you should use light detergent soak for not more than 30 minutes. However, this will be dependent on where you live as the types and brands of detergents vary per region.

If you are not sure which one will work best, it is advisable to use the one that you think will dissolve easily. Also, before you put the undergarments in the water, you should mix the water with the detergent thoroughly and evenly.

3. Avoid mixing dark colored and light-colored clothes.

As it is with all garments, light and dark colored clothes should never be nixed. It is a basic rule not unless you want your white blouse to have green, red, or black patches. The fact is, tears will start running down your cheeks when you get your luxury lace thong out, and it is suddenly antique rust colored since you lumped everything together in the tub.

4. Remove anything that should not be in the lingerie washing bowl.

Things such as buckles or anything else that should not be in the washing bowl should be kept at bay. This will help to prevent the formation of rust spots on delicate undergarments.

5. Wash the padded areas carefully

While washing, you should pay more attention to the areas that usually trap sweat. You should also make sure to wash them thoroughly and evenly. Failure to pay more attention to such areas might give you the nastiest rashes when you wear the garments next time.

Also, avoid padding or squashing the bra while washing it. Doing either of these will deform your bra’s shape and render it useless. As for the drying, rinse them thoroughly, hand them up to dry, or put them in a lingerie bag if you want to dry them in a clothes dryer.

Lastly, try to give your underwear the best and tender-loving-care. They will in return walk with you for a long time.
