Are you tired of dry and damaged hair? When the natural oils and moisture in the hair are depleted, the lipid layer is lost, causing the hair to become very porous. Cracks appear on the exterior layer of hair making it dry, damaging the hair.

Dry and damaged hair is also dull and frizzy, making it difficult to manage. One of the most prevalent reasons for baldness is dry and damaged hair. Washing hair too frequently, excessive sun exposure, the use of hair-styling products, contact with chlorinated water, and smoking are all factors that lead to dry and damaged hair. When your hair is entirely dry and damaged, the outside cuticle lifts and wears, and the overlapping cells no longer lay flat. It weakens the hair shaft, making it prone to splitting, damage, and breaking.

Here are the ways to treat dry and damaged hair:

1.     Oil your hair

Use hair oils like olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, and maize oil. These hair oils are high in Vitamin E and antioxidants, which help to restore moisture to the hair's outer layer. Warm half a cup of oil and gently massage it into your hair, then cover with a towel. After 30-40 minutes, rinse your hair with shampoo. It might assist to strengthen the hair and give it a shinier appearance.

2.    Moisturise your hair

Moisturize and hydrate your hair as much as you can. Dry hair is the leading cause of hair damage and breakage because it lacks the necessary moisture and becomes brittle and fragile. Always use a moisturising regimen that includes a hydrating shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave-in conditioner. You can choose different shampoos depending on your hair needs from Tresemme. For reducing hair fall, dry and damaged hair, best Tresemme shampoos are available online.

3.    Use hair masks

Hair masks are the most effective approach to condition dry and damaged hair. It contains high quantities of hydrating components including vitamins, oils, and natural minerals. Because they're thicker than ordinary conditioners, apply them to damp hair. It allows adequate time for the product to go deeper into the hair's surface and fill up the gaps and nicks that form on the surface of damaged hair.

4.    Increase your vitamin intake

Vitamins and minerals are essential for the healthy development and gloss of hair. A diet lacking in vitamins, minerals, vital fatty acids, and proteins can result in hair structural anomalies, hair loss, and damaged hair. Always have a well-balanced diet that includes a range of goods such as protein, fruits, vegetables, grains, and healthy fats.

5.     Trim your split ends

Split ends cause the hair to unravel from the bottom up, resulting in a dull, broken, frizzy mess. To avoid split ends, use fortifying shampoos such as Tresemme shampoo, conditioners, and leave-in treatments to maintain your hair elastic and strong. Trim your split ends on a regular basis to prevent them from becoming out of control.

In addition to these steps, additional measures are required to avoid dry hair.

a.       Avoid excessive use of hair styling products.

b.       Instead of washing your hair every day, rinse it every few days.

c.        To avoid split ends, trim your hair on a regular basis.

d.       Cool water, rather than heated, should be used to rinse your hair since it closes the cuticles and decreases moisture loss.
