This is a time when all parents are afraid: when your child is sitting there with his face turned, staring at a blank piece of paper in front of him. It's an Argument

Remember that an essay is an argument: the task of an essay is not to write a story or tell a plot. The teacher knows all this information. In one essay, your child’s task is to give serious arguments, using clear evidence for what they want to do.

Write a Plan

Make a shortlist of topics that your child should write an essay on. Even a short shot is better than a shot in general, and the writer begins to feel that it is up to him to complete the essay on the subject.

If your child is a visual learner, move away from the desk and move to a neutral space. Take a large A3 piece of paper and a few colored sticks and think of a mind map or sketch in the essay. The use of pictures, lines, circles, and arrows helps the visual learner to understand the task and what to do.

If your child is still stuck, make sure he or she has read enough on the subject. Some inertia related to writing may be due to a lack of knowledge. If they spend a day or two reading more about it and gathering a few more ideas, they will find writing much easier.

Try to Use a Neutral Phrase

Suggest that you start the essay with a neutral sentence: just a sentence that describes interesting facts about the topic you are writing about. The first few sentences of an essay don’t have to be asterisks - you just have to start!
