How To Stay Connected With Customers During Social Distancing?

by John Sema Marketing Manager
The sudden shift in the business world has mismanaged a lot of factors related to employees, organizational operations, and, most importantly, customers. As there is immense stress associated with the outbreak of coronavirus, it is essential to stay connected with your customers even while social distancing. Clients, be it B2B or B2C, have a view that if the brand name goes out of sight, it goes out of mind too. Henceforth, to avoid getting driven away by the storm of sudden panic of COVID-19, it is best suggested to hold onto the customer base through different manners. Let’s understand the ways for it.

Communication is the key: As we all are practicing social distancing and lockdown across the globe, the easiest way to connect with your clients is by often communicating with them. As per a research survey by 4A, only 15 percent of customers don’t believe in brand communication at this time. Companies are making campaigns that urge them to have a communicative time due to social distancing.

Be sympathetic: It is already a stressful time for all. Your clients seek sensitive emails that bond the two of you over the current scenario. If you ensure sensitivity over this tensed time and not focus on sales, you may likely become popular among your customers.

Offer help: This is the time when you can provide quality follow-ups and check on after-sale services. This way, you can stay connected with your clients and keep the brand name floating too. Undoubtedly, customer experience plays an important role. You can keep a check on that during social distancing by extending a helping hand.

Be creative: It gets very monotonous when your client gets a similar kind of marketing approach by you and your competitors. The chances are high that they won’t open your email. Hence, ensure to be creative to hold a prominent presence among the customers.

Conclusion: The customer is the king. The goal is to ensure that your relationship with your customer is retained under all circumstances. By being sympathetic, communicative, and little creative, you can make an impact on the clients even during social distancing.
