How to solve Webcam not Working Issue on Windows 10
by Hayate Abul Digital MarketingHave you recently updated
your Windows 10 and now some of your hardware devices not work correctly. When
you’re running them, an error message will display with error codes “0x200F4244
or 0xA00F4244”. This problem will also occur with your Webcam, here is how to
troubleshoot this problem.
Things you need to do to
fix your Webcam not working issue
1. Check your Windows Settings.
2. Check Connections.
3. View Windows Device Manager
Settings.
4. Update or Install Drivers.
5. Uninstall Webcam Drivers.
Check your Windows
Settings
If Webcam is disabled from your Windows Settings,
then even a single application including the Desktop application can’t use your
Webcam. Try to fix the issue from Windows Settings, here is how
1. Go to your ‘Windows Settings’.
2. Go to ‘Privacy’.
3. Open ‘Camera Settings’.
4. On the top of camera
settings, check ‘Allow apps to access your camera’ switch is turned on.
5. Turn on ‘Switch’ to allow
apps to use your camera if it is off.
6. Now, check the allowed apps
accessing your camera into “Choose which apps can access your camera” section.
7. Allow the apps on which
you’re using the camera. If you’re using the camera on any disabled app, then
it will not work.
8. Save your ‘settings’ and
then check your Webcam is working on not.
Check Connections
If you’re using an external camera on your PC and
even the apps are enabled to use your webcam, but still it is not working, then
you need to check your camera connections. Maybe some mistake had happened while
connecting Webcam with your Windows 10 PC. Check connections if everything is
fine then,
• Disconnect the cable and
reconnect it again.
• Make sure cord is attached
correctly and properly.
• Try to plug in the cable into
another USB port.
View Windows Device
Manager Settings
1. Go to ‘Device manager’
settings.
2. Now, open Cameras Settings.
For camera settings, you need to Expand Cameras, Imaging Devices on Device
Manager.
3. Right click on your Camera
name.
4. And then click on ‘Enable
Device’.
Update or Install Drivers
The issue may occur because of an old driver or
an unsupported driver. Sometimes Windows automatically install drivers
when a hardware device is connected to it, but it is not possible every time
that the driver works well. Then it is a good option to update or install a
working driver on your computer. For working and compatible driver, go to
manufacturer’s website of your device and then download drivers for your
Window. You can also look for troubleshooting tips for your device on its
Manufacturer’s website.

on your Windows 10 PC.

drivers’.
